Jim Elliot was a missionary pilot, he along with four other missionaries, Nate Saint, Pete Fleming, Ed McCully and Roger Youderian were Christian missionaries to Ecuador. They were martyred in Ecuador on January 8, 1956. The story took the public by storm, they became instantly known worldwide as martyrs. Not only were the Huaorani Indians that killed them reach with the transforming power of the gospel, revival spread through the Auca Indians and their demenstration of faith has encouraged thousands of young people to live whole-hearted for Jesus Christ.
