Left Behind
With cars crashing and people missing, the world has reached the climactic scenes before armageddon. Left Behind is an apocalyptic thriller about the world's last days. The story is about a journalist and an airline pilot who are facing the chaos that follows the rapture. International struggles intensify as two bankers try to gain control of the world's food supply. Using the United Nations as a puppet, the anti-christ takes control by gaining political and military rule.
This ambitious project had strong production values, but the storyline of the movie departed from that of the books. Left Behind marked a milestone in Christian filmmaking as the first major Christian film to hit theaters. Although not a rookie in the theaters, Left Behind was a phenomenal success in it's DVD and home video run.
Notable line from the movie: "In the end, there's no denying the truth."
